Natural Pain Killers

Try These Painkillers from Mother Nature
If you have chronic pain of any kind, please understand that there are many safe and effective alternatives to prescription and over-the-counter painkillers. The pain remedies that follow are natural, providing excellent pain relief without any of the health hazards that pain medications often carry.
•Ginger: This herb is anti-inflammatory and offers pain relief and stomach-settling properties. Fresh ginger works well steeped in boilin...g water as a tea or grated into vegetable juice.
•Curcumin: Curcumin is the primary therapeutic compound identified in the spice turmeric. In a study of osteoarthritis patients, those who added only 200 mg of curcumin a day to their treatment plan had reduced pain and increased mobility. In fact, curcumin has been shown in over 50 clinical studies to have potent anti-inflammatory activity, as well as demonstrating the ability in four studies to reduce Tylenol-associated adverse health effects.
•Boswellia: Also known as boswellin or "Indian frankincense," this herb contains powerful anti-inflammatory properties, which have been prized for thousands of years. This is one of my personal favorites, as I have seen it work well with many rheumatoid arthritis patients.
•Bromelain: This protein-digesting enzyme, found in pineapples, is a natural anti-inflammatory. It can be taken in supplement form, but eating fresh pineapple may also be helpful. Keep in mind that most of the bromelain is found within the core of the pineapple, so consider leaving a little of the pulpy core intact when you consume the fruit.
•Cetyl Myristoleate (CMO): This oil, found in fish and dairy butter, acts as a "joint lubricant" and an anti-inflammatory. I have used a topical preparation for myself to relieve ganglion cysts and a mild annoying carpal tunnel syndrome that pops up when I type too much on non-ergonomic keyboards.
•Evening Primrose, Black Currant, and Borage Oils: These contain the fatty acid gamma linolenic acid (GLA), which is useful for treating arthritic pain.

Is Transition to Solar Energy a Feasible Goal?

Revisiting the issue of transitioning to renewable energy like solar, DiCaprio talks to Elon Musk, CEO of Spacex and Tesla. Would it actually be possible to transition not only the U.S., but the entire world, to solar energy?
At Tesla’s gigafactory in Reno, Nevada, Musk is working on producing batteries that can efficiently store solar energy. This is a much-needed component of the solution, as the sun does not always shine, no matter where you live. A massive advantage of solar panels and batteries is that you avoid having to build any kind of electrical power plants.
A single battery pack could store energy collected by solar panels and supply power to an entire village, without having to build a power plant and draw power lines.
“It’s like what happened with landlines versus cellular phones,” Musk says. “A lot of developing countries didn’t do the landline phones. They went straight to cellular.”
Musk has calculated how many gigafactories like the one in Reno would be required to transition the whole world to renewable energy. The answer? One hundred gigafactories, measuring about 15 million square feet each. That’s all that would be required to make enough solar powered batteries to give solar energy to not just the U.S., but every nation on the globe.
As noted by Musk, were larger industry giants to get in on this, along with nations like China, the transition could be accomplished rather quickly. It would be even quicker if governments were to implement laws and regulations favoring renewable energy. Some countries are already well on their way.
About 30 percent of Germany’s energy comes from solar energy, for example. Denmark uses as much as 100 percent solar, and Sweden recently declared its intention to become the first fossil fuel-free nation in the world.

Healthy Hot Cocoa

A delicious & healthy hot cocoa recipe you can feel good about drinking!! Organic cacao powder creates a decadent chocolate flavor that's accentuated with a touch of ground cinnamon,  and a pinch of sea salt. My favorite way to fix it is with coconut or almond milk. So yummy!
Serves: 1

Ingredients

1  1/4 cup almond or coconut milk
2 tablespoons of organic raw cacao powder  1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon powder
1 packet of stevia
1 pinch of sea salt
 Directions
Measure the cacao powder,  cinnamon, stevia and sea salt into a small saucepan. Turn the heat to medium and slowly pour 1/4 cup of the milk into the spices, stirring constantly until dissolved and all the spices are mixed together, making sure to press out any lumps with the back of your spoon.

When the mixture is smooth, stir in the rest of the milk and heat the cocoa until it's warm enough to drink (don't let it boil over). Pour into your favorite mug and drink right away, or dollop some whipped cream on top sprinkled with extra cinnamon or a pinch of cayenne for a little spice.

Why is this Pesticide in our Cereal?

Monsanto Is Scrambling To Bury This Breaking Story – Don’t Let This Go Unshared!
A FDA-registered food safety laboratory tested iconic American food for residues of the weed killer glyphosate (aka Monsanto’s Roundup) and found ALARMING amounts.
Just to give you an idea of how outrageous these amounts are, independent research shows that probable harm to human health begins at really low levels of exposure – at only 0.1 ppb of glyphosate. Many foods were found to have over 1,000 times this amount! Well above what regulators throughout the world consider “safe”.

You Can do Much to Heal Yourself & Others

You can do much on behalf of your own healing and that of others if, in a situation calling for help, you think of it this way: I am here only to be truly helpful. I am here to represent Him Who sent me. I do not have to worry about what to say or what to do, because He who sent me will direct me. I am content to be wherever He wishes, knowing He goes there with me. I will be healed as I let Him teach me to heal.

Mineral Calcium supplements can build up in arteries & cause heart attacks & strokes

I have been very concerned about taking calcium supplements since learning
that calcium can build up in your arteries and cause heart problems or strokes.

However, I just now read about this and it makes sense to me to take a plant based calcium rather than a mineral calcium. I am not selling or endorsing a product I just wanted you to watch this video in this ad. I stopped taking calcium some months ago, even though I have low bone density, but now think I might buy this.

Halloween Sugar Blues

Sugar Blues after Halloween
Have you noticed how behavior changes in children after they gobble up Halloween candy. What do you do to discourage your children from consuming too much sugar. I know school teachers notice a negative difference in behavior, but not only in behavior but with immunity and more sick days.
One mother I know buys back the candy from her children and then tosses it in the garbage. Another feeds her children lots of lemonade made with fresh lemons and... stevia, also lots of celery, greens, and green drinks and puts the candy high on a shelf and lets them have two pieces a day. What works for you?
Sugar –Harmful to our Health

A recent study that Dr. Stan Gardner featured on his website, along with his comments ( www.stangardnermd.com ), refers to a study that concludes that sugar is as addictive as heroin, and potentially even more harmful, because of its far-reaching effects and its deceptive acceptance in our diet. That entry drew more than 42 comments from readers, many of them begging for help to get off the sugar habit
“High blood sugar levels also cause an immune system deficiency. The phagocytes, which are the cells in the body which chew up foreign material including bacteria, viruses, fungi, and break-down products, are not as effective when high blood sugar levels are found in the blood stream.
A major problem with sugar and refined carbohydrates in the mouth is it feeds Candida infection, which may be found anywhere: from the mouth, esophagus, down through the large intestine and rectum. Because Candida uses sugar for metabolism and energy, Candida is better able to divide, multiply and morph into a more toxic form with sugar as fuel.
One last problem with sugar ingestion before it gets into the stomach where absorption takes place is the neurochemical changes that sugar triggers in the brain. These are related to actual tongue stimulation, which sets off immediate changes in the brain. The brain, unfamiliar with this type of onslaught, evidences behaviors that are not uncommonly seen in children, such as hyperactivity, anxiety, crankiness, diminished concentration and depression. All of these can significantly affect school performance. Some people experience drowsiness instead of hyperactivity. Interestingly, recently presented data at a neuropsychopharmacology conference demonstrated that some of these neurochemical changes are the same changes that occur in people ingesting alcohol and other addictive substances. Clearly, sugar is one of those addictive substances.

Healing Body & Spirit Using Emotion Code

What is Emotion Code
Dr. Bradley Nelson, author of the book, "The Emotion Code," states, "" The Emotion Code is an energy healing technique that helps us to id...entify and literally release trapped emotions- which are harmful emotional energies from negative past events. Trapped emotions can cause depression, anxiety, they can block people from love and happiness and make them feel disconnected from others. And because trapped emotions are made of energy, just like the rest of the body, they exert an influence on the physical tissues, and can cause acute pain and even cancer. Releasing trapped emotions makes conditions right for the body to heal- so physical and emotional difficulties often disappear or become much more manageable."
"Just about everyone has some amount of emotional baggage from painful life events, right? It's not all in your head! Emotional baggage is very real, and although it's invisible it can really mess up your happiness, your success and your health. It's like lugging around a suitcase from every difficult event you've gone through- eventually the load gets too heavy not to notice. I call each "suitcase" a Trapped Emotion- a bit of emotional energy that was created, by you, during an emotional event, and got stuck in your body somewhere."
"Trapped Emotions are literally like balls of energy, vibrating at different frequencies depending on what the emotion is (for example, Anger is a different vibration than Sadness or Insecurity). Trapped Emotions are negative, destructive vibrations, and tend to affect the body wherever they are stuck, creating pain and malfunction of bodily tissues, even disease. They can also cause depression, anxiety and loads of emotional problems. Trapped Emotions sure can make life miserable, but you can get rid of them using The Emotion Code."
So far I have worked on mainly humans, but you can also release trapped emotions from animals. A friend called me about her dog, who has carpal syndrome in her legs...similar to carpal tunnel in humans. He dog could barely walk. His immune system was not working. After releasing the trapped emotions, my friend reported that her dog was walking much better by the very next day. After five more sessions she took the dog to the vet and he said he could find nothing wrong with her.
I have seen symptoms of severe depression go from a severe ten down to a two in just one session. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, do clinical hypnosis, but the Emotion code is so much faster and efficient and I like it better than anything I do.

Did Probiotics Cure My Chronic Fatigue?

Chronic Fatigue
Taken from a post in Health Rising
Did Probioitcs Help Cure My Chronic Fatigue?
In this article by Carol Wolf, who suffered from chronic fatigue for more than 20 years, she began taking massive doses of probiotics and gained her energy and life back. You can read about this at http://www.cortjohnson.org/blog/2016/01/07/probiotics-cure-my-chronic-fatigue-syndrome/.
I thought this was a very interesting article because after I made the rounds of doctors for 5 years trying to get help for my Chronic fatigue, I finally found a doctor who helped me. During my illness I I felt like I had the drop-dead flu and that I was beating a dead horse just trying to get out of bed, The doctor  put me on diflucan for candida. It worked. I recovered. You can read about it on my blog or my book on amazon, "Free yourself from Chronic Fatigue and Fibromyalgia," Blog is http://irecoverdfromchronicfatigueandfibro.blogspot.com/
As a nutritional consultant I have seen and believe that so many illnesses and depression begin in the gut. Carol's use of probiotics supports that theory.

It has been over twenty years since I recovered and my passion has been to help others recover. Now, to conquer chronic fatigue and fibromyaglagia I would use Neem pills to get rid of candida because diflucan can damage kidney's. After doing research, I found almost everyone with ME/CFS

had candida. Next, I  would have a genetic test for MTHFR because that mutation can prevent the liver from detoxifying and many people who have ME/CFS have this mutation. I would do Body/Emotion code to release trapped emotions. I would do Elan light therapy because it detoxifies the body and I would eat an alkaline diet and take probiotics.

What God Did at Pearl Harbor

What God did at Pearl Harbor that day is interesting and I never knew this little bit of history:

Tour boats ferry people out to the USS Arizona Memorial in Hawaii every thirty minutes.

We just missed a ferry and had to wait thirty minutes. I went into a small gift shop to kill time.

In the gift shop, I purchased a small book entitled, "Reflections on Pearl Harbor" by Admiral Chester Nimitz.

Sunday, December 7th, 1941--Admiral Chester Nimitz was attending a concert in Washington, DC.
He was paged and told there was a phone call for him. When he answered the phone, it was President Franklin Delano Roosevelt on the phone.
He told Admiral Nimitz that he (Nimitz) would now be the Commander of the Pacific Fleet.

Admiral Nimitz flew to Hawaii to assume command of the Pacific Fleet. He landed at Pearl Harbor on Christmas Eve, 1941.
There was such a spirit of despair, dejection and defeat--you would have thought the Japanese had already won the war.

On Christmas Day, 1941, Adm. Nimitz was given a boat tour of the destruction wrought on Pearl Harbor by the Japanese.
Big sunken battleships and navy vessels cluttered the waters everywhere you looked.

As the tour boat returned to dock, the young helmsman of the boat asked, "Well Admiral, what do you think after seeing all this destruction?"

Admiral Nimitz's reply shocked everyone within the sound of his voice.

Admiral Nimitz said, "The Japanese made three of the biggest mistakes an attack force could ever make, or God was taking care of America.
Which do you think it was?"

Shocked and surprised, the young helmsman asked, "What do mean by saying the Japanese made the three biggest mistakes an attack force ever made?"

Nimitz explained:

Mistake number one:

The Japanese attacked on Sunday morning. Nine out of every ten crewmen of those ships were ashore on leave.
If those same ships had been lured to sea and been sunk--we would have lost 38,000 men instead of 3,800.

Mistake number two:

When the Japanese saw all those battleships lined in a row, they got so carried away sinking those battleships, they never once bombed our dry docks opposite those ships.
If they had destroyed our dry docks, we would have had to tow every one of those ships to America to be repaired.

As it is now, the ships are in shallow water and can be raised. One tug can pull them over to the dry docks, and we can have them repaired and at sea by the time we could have towed them to America.
And I already have crews ashore anxious to man those ships.

Mistake number three:

Every drop of fuel in the Pacific theater of war is in top of the ground storage tanks five miles away over that hill. One attack plane could have strafed those tanks and destroyed our fuel supply.
That's why I say the Japanese made three of the biggest mistakes an attack force could make or God was taking care of America.

I've never forgotten what I read in that little book. It is still an inspiration as I reflect upon it.
In jest, I might suggest that because Admiral Nimitz was a Texan, born and raised in Fredericksburg, Texas -- he was a born optimist.
But any way you look at it--Admiral Nimitz was able to see a silver lining in a situation and circumstance where everyone else saw only despair and defeatism.

President Roosevelt had chosen the right man for the right job. We desperately needed a leader that could see silver linings in the midst of the clouds of dejection, despair and defeat.

There is a reason that our national motto is, IN GOD WE TRUST.

Overcome Addiction

Just finished reading the Kindle version of ""It's Time To Start Living," . I highly recommend this book. As a former drug and alcohol counselor and now as I research the chemical and nutritional reasons that contribute to addiction,  I feel that we need to seek out all avenues that have a proven track record.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JaULR5IVaf0 Read kindle version on Amazon free.

Author, Todd Sylvester is a Belief System Master. The purpose of this book is to ignite your imagination and motivate you to change your limiting beliefs. For the last 25 years, Todd has served as a Mentor & Personal Development Coach for those looking to get more out of life, move beyond limiting beliefs and overcome addictions. Todd is an experienced motivational speaker and has conducted over 300 speaking engagement at businesses, seminars, schools, churches and for youth groups.

Todd currently works as an Addictive Voice Recognition Counselor at an addiction recovery treatment center for those struggling with with drug or alcohol addiction, where he provides one-on-one mentoring to both local and international clients. Described as having “a unique gift to develop trusting relationships quickly,” Todd has guided hundreds to sobriety and other behavioral successes through the individualized support he offers to each client. His ability to “speak to a person’s soul and help them find their true motive to change” has been the key for inspiring others to make permanent lifestyle changes.

Todd’s profound influence grew from his own personal experience — a journey from self-hatred and hopelessness to faith and recovery. At a young age, Todd was exposed to drugs and alcohol and quickly became addicted. Years of rampant drug abuse lead to devastating failures and a conclusion that his young life had nowhere left to go.

Change can come from the most unlikely of places. For Todd, that place was a neighborhood lemonade stand, when he made the spontaneous decision to become one little girl’s most generous customer. This simple act – and the positive reaction that came with it – provided Todd with a sense of hope that he had never felt before. Todd’s strengthening sense of purpose sparked a fervent determination to change his life and to prevent others from enduring the physical and emotional pain that had threatened his very existence. As he moved forward with newfound faith and a desire to serve others, Todd learned that the human soul – on fire - is more powerful than any addiction.

Death-The Journey beyond life-

There are remarkable similarities between birth and death.
Elder Bruce R. McConkie (LDS Church leader) said:
"We know that this ...great plan of progression
called for birth which would provide a mortal
tabernacle for our eternal spirits, and for a death
which would free those spirits from the frailties,
diseases and weaknesses of mortality."
The words birth and death both describe movement.
Birth describes our movement from the spirit world to
mortality. Death describes our movement from mortality
to the spirit world. With each movement we terminate our
existence in one place and initiate our existence in another.
When God sends forth a tiny soul
To learn the ways of earth,
A mother’s love is waiting here—
We call this wonder— birth.
When God calls home a tired soul
And stills a fleeting breath,
A Father’s love is waiting there
This too is birth— not death

Wand gave hope to terminal dialysis patient.

Fairy-Godmother’s Wand

It was December, the hospital was festive, decorated with a huge Christmas tree with shiny red ornaments and elegant red velvet bows. Pots of Poinsettias decorated the counters. Outside it was snowing. I fought back my anxiety, felt my racing pulse and the lump inside my heart as I walked through the corridor toward the elevators to visit my husband, Paul,  who was critically ill. He had coronary artery disease, congestive heart failure, and was fighting to recover from surgery for kidney cancer. The surgeon had hoped to remove the cancer from the kidney, but because of the cancer mass, had to remove the kidney. Now, my husband was on dialysis.

Wanting to do absolutely anything I could do to cheer my husband, I held my battery operated fairy-godmother’s wand in my hand. I had bought it at a costume shop for Halloween. I figured everyone could use a fairy godmother’s wand, especially one with twinkling lights. Then, in front of me was a tall gorgeous young woman with long flowing blond hair, dressed in white clothing. She looked like an angel. As we stepped inside the elevator, I sensed her sadness and gently asked, “Do you need a fairy-godmother’s wand?” as I waved the blinking wand toward her.

Tears rolled down her cheeks as she nodded in the affirmative. As we stepped off the elevator I reached out to comfort her and listen. She had two small children and was going through a traumatic divorce. Her mother was in the hospital for kidney failure and had been waiting for a transplant for five years, This was just one of her many crisis visits to the hospital. “My mother is tired of fighting for her life. She wants to give up—go off dialysis—and die, but she just turned fifty. My father is dead—I don’t want to lose my mother too.. I feel so hopeless.”

I put my arms around her as she sobbed. She wiped her tears with a tissue. “Would you like to take my fairy-godmother’s wand?” I asked. “You can return it to my husband’s room later this evening.”

Several hours later my husband was delighted and surprised to see a beautiful “angel” with long blond hair tumbling down her shoulders walk into his room. She was carrying the flashing fairy-god-mother’s wand. After greeting my husband, she asked how he was feeling.
“This was wonderful,” she said, as she handed me the wand. “Mother loved the wand. She even laughed. We took turns waving it around the room and granting wishes for the nurses who were coming in and out. She granted me wishes—I waved wishes over her head, and we giggled. Mother now has hope and the will to live.”

That moment gave my husband hope and he lived four more years.

What I Want My Posterity to Know!

One of the most important things that I want to share with my children and grandchildren is that I was born a "child of God," and so were they. We are children of God on a divinely appointed earthly mission. We can all make a positive difference in the world. We can be as a light on a hill. He will guide us! He loves us and always will. . Angels walk beside us and when we know that, we have no need to fear.
Pray each day to touch the lives of others so that they may live closer to the Lord and do His will.
I love my children and grandchildren and always will.

Overcoming Fear

Peter McCWilliams, author of "You Can't Afford the Luxury of a Negative Thought,"
agrees we should fear some things---drinking poisons, leaping off tall buildings, and situations in which our pyhsical body is in danger of extinction."All other fears--the ones we face every day--are illusions. They should be given no more credence than television commercials, election-year promises, or people who try to sell us flowers at airports."
Ninety five percent of th...e things we worry about never happen. "Worry is like a rocking chair...it gives us something to do but it doesn't get us anywhere.
How often in our lives do we make a bird in the bush out to be a bear? How we talk to ourselves determines how we feel.

Candida, Bipolar Disorder and Depression

I have long believed candida is a major player in depression and Bipolar disorder and I am not alone..Bipolar Disorder and Depression, is there new hope?
A few days ago a young mother in our neighborhood, suffering from postpartum and Bipolar Depression committed suicide. In my early years as a counselor I came to believe that nutrition and diet has a major role in depression and mental illness. I counseled brothers who were Bipolar, yet I had known them when they were younger, and mentally healthy—normal , outstanding young men. Their diet was terrible—lots of sugar, meat, soft drinks and junk food. A very acidic diet. Now they are unable to function normally in the community. I watched with sadness the results of their medication. Constant drooling, slowness of speech, periods when they went off the medication and the ups and downs of their disorder. I wanted desperately to help them. It was then I decided that I would pursue a Ph.D.degree in Holistic Nutrition.
I have long believed that candida has a role in depression and Bipolar Disorder and I am not alone. Dr. William Crook, author of The Yeast Connection, and Dr.C .Orian Truss, author of The Missing Diagnosis and other physicians suggest this is the case, although more research needs to be done.
According to Dr. Sherry Rogers, author of Depression Cured at Last, says depression always involves a seriously malabsorptive state and gut that needs to be "cleaned out". or needs to be "fixed"as soon as possible.Celiac disease and candida contributes to malabsorption.
Yeast is a vegetable, not an animal and is a strong invasive parasite that attaches itself to the intestinal wall and becomes a permanent resident of your internal organs. It is an integral part of life. It is present in food, and is found on exposed surfaces and in the air we breathe. Candida yeast intake and exposure cannot be avoided. Only when yeast becomes dominant in various parts of the body does it begin to present a serious health problem, resulting in disease, pain, and discomfort.
Yeast can become a hardy fungus. It multiplies very rapidly, can assume long periods of dormancy and when necessary, becomes cannibalistic. Candida is very sensitive to sugars, foods and other specific substances as they pass along the digestive tract. Yeasts cells thrive on sugar and have an aggressive appetite.
Minor increases in intestinal yeast are usually not a problem, but if yeast overgrowth is left unchallenged it can change into a mycelial fungus with rhizoids (tentacle-like projections) that penetrate the lining of the intestinal tract. These projections can cause intestinal permeability and leak toxins across the cellular membranes. This can cause a disruption in the absorption of nutrients and nutritional deficiencies that can lead to reduced immunity and weaken the body’s defense systems.
Without proper nutrition, the body can’t heal or regenerate its tissues and if you
cannot digest and assimilate food, the tissues will eventually starve, states Dr. Robert Young, author of The pH Miracle.
Cleansing the body and taking probiotics, and other anti-candida measures is a step toward healing.
Neem pills are recommended to kill candida and don't have the side-effects of diflucan.

Cleansing the Body
You should have three bowel movements a day. To help this process, juice lots of raw vegetables—especially spinach and carrots, eat lots of fiber, take a good bowel cleanser such as Naturlax 2, drink ½ cup aloe vera juice both morning and night, and drink lots of water.
Milk thistle helps cleanse the liver and aids in enhancing bile output to soften stools. Enzymes help digest foods and speed up elimination. Alfalfa tablets aid in detoxifying the body. Magnesium and a high dose of vitamin C, (the two "bowel loosening" nutrients), help constipation.

Depression involves a state of fairly broad essential nutrient and amino acid deficiency almost 100% of the time. It is suggested that consuming carnitine and phospatidyl choline is helpful when taking a therapeutic dose of amino acids.

Thyroid Function & Bipolar Disorder
There is currently an investigation on low thyroid and candida relationships connecting bipolar disorder and celiac disease. There is a clear connection between the process of thyroid hormone regulation and bipolar disorder. The problem is, this connection is only just now beginning to become evident, and how the connection works is basically a mystery. Two studies recently showed a strikingly high rate of autoimmune-caused thyroid problems in people with bipolar disorder, far more than you would expect to find.Vonk, Kupka Thyroid problems are more common in the complex forms of bipolar disorder (mixed states and rapid cycling) than in classic bipolar manic patients.Chang Signs of thyroid auto-immunity are much more common in people with anxiety and depression, particularly the forms of anxiety which don’t easily fit into typical “anxiety disorder” labels.Carta
Poor intestinal flora can contribute to depression by altering the immune system. Let’s examine this relationship a bit closer. Cytokines are produced by our immune system. In depression, there is an increase in inflammatory cytokines called IL-1, IL-6, and TNF. These same cytokines can be increased by exposure to the LPS in the cell wall of gram-negative intestinal bacteria. By increasing these cytokines, intestinal bacteria have been shown to induce depression, anxiety and cognition impairment.
I would take probiotics and Neem pills to get rid of candida.
Can Virgin Coconut Oil Help the Thyroid
Celiac disease, triggered by gluten proteins from wheat in susceptible people, can damage the central nervous system. The cell walls of Candida, the yeast responsible for oral thrush, vaginal infections and intestinal Candidiasis, contain the same protein sequence as wheat gluten and may trigger or stimulate Celiac Disease.
For the last ten years we have known that celiac disease is associated with hypothyroid disease, specifically Hashimoto’s Disease. About 10- 14% of celiac patients are hypothyroid. Celiac patients are about ten times as likely to have thyroid nodules. [5,6,7] Is it the same genetic predisposition making people overly prone to develop autoimmune diseases that causes both conditions? Or is it the chronic bowel inflammation that stimulates these autoimmune reactions? At this point it isn’t clear.
Since the unsaturated oils block protein digestion in the stomach, we can be malnourished even while "eating well." There are many changes in hormones caused by unsaturated fats. Their best understood effect is their interference with the function of the thyroid gland. Unsaturated oils block thyroid hormone secretion, its movement in the circulatory system, and the response of tissues to the hormone. Coconut oil is unique in its ability to prevent weight-gain or cure obesity, by stimulating metabolism. It is quickly metabolized, and functions in some ways as an antioxidant.9
Because coconut oil is saturated and very stable (unrefined coconut oil has a shelf life of about three to five years at room temperature), the body is not burdened with oxidative stress as it is with the vegetable oils. Coconut oil does not require the enzyme stress that vegetable oils do, preventing T4 to T3 hormone conversion, not only because it is a stable oil, but also because it is processed differently in the body and does not need to be broken down by enzyme dependent processes as do long chain fatty acids. Also, since the liver is the main place where damage occurs from oxidized and rancid oils that cause cell membrane damage, and since the liver is where much of the conversion of T4 to T3 takes place, eliminating long chain fatty acids from the diet and replacing them with medium chain fatty acids found in coconut oil can, in time, help in rebuilding cell membranes and increasing enzyme production that will assist in promoting the conversion of T4 to T3 hormones.
More research in this area is necessary.

Omega 3 deficiency contributes to Bipolar Disorder and Depression

Omega-3s are a safe, simple, natural treatment for depression, mental health, and enhancing mood without side effects. Andrew Stoll, a psychiatrist and director of the Psychopharmacology Research Laboratory at McClean Hospital, is author of the book The Omega-3 Connection. The book is designed to educate about benefits of fish oil and help readers restore their natural balance of omega-3 fatty acids, which are found in high concentrations in the brain.
Over the past century, people in the United States have largely eliminated omega-3 fatty acids from their diet, due to the huge consumption of processed foods and a low-fat diet craze.
However, there is reason to be concerned about bad fats. Some fats are absolutely required for good health, while others detrimental. The most dangerous fats are those found in margarines, shortenings, heated oils, cheese, and some meats, but we need the healing fatty acids. Omega-3s are essential for optimal function of every cell in our bodies and we cannot manufacture them internally. They can be obtained only through our diet.
Stoll, on the faculty of Harvard Medical School, was interested in alternatives for bipolar patients. He conducted extensive searches on medical research papers to find substances with properties similar to standard mood stabilizers, lithium and valproate. After he and his colleague, Dr. Emauel Severus, reviewed hundreds of papers, they pulled up one match time and again—common fish oil.
Fish oils are already known for their roll in preventing heart disease, rheumatoid arthritis, and Crohn’s disease. They may also be responsible for protecting against arthritis, diabetes, and some psychiatric disorders. The brain requires more omega-3 and fatty acids than any other system in the body. According to Dr. Stoll, without omega-3s, the brain cannot function normally, so even the most powerful antidepressants will be unable to improve mood. For optimum health, omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids should be eaten in nearly equal proportions. Omega-6 fatty acids are contained in vegetable and seed oils, including olive oil, sunflower oil, and safflower oils. Omega-3s are more difficult to obtain, and are most often from fish oil. Flax oil and seed contains some Omega-3s.
In addition, omega-3s are safe and effective supplements for pregnancy, nursing mothers, and postpartum depression. Blood levels of omega-3s decrease during the later stages of pregnancy and stay low, because the fetus receives these essential lipids preferentially (especially if there is a shortage). Lack of omega-3s can damage a mothers health after birth and cause major postpartum depression. These fatty acids are so important in cell-signaling pathways, and are vital to the function of many brain systems, including those neural systems regulating mood and emotions. Research indicates that a lack of omega-3s during pregnancy may impair development of the visual system of a fetus, and may also compromise future intelligence.
Evening Primrose is another Omega 3 that is particularly helpful for PMS (premenstrual syndrome), irritability, mood swings, and cramps.
There is some evidence that attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) might be rooted in a deficiency of the omega-3 fatty acids. Researchers noticed that in two groups of children it was found that those who had omega-3 deficiency and ADHD had similarities. Both had excess thirst, greater frequency of dry hair and skin, and an increased need to urinate. When they tested the blood levels of the ADHD subjects they found that 40 percent had low levels of omega-3s.
Dr. Stoll recommends 1 to 3 grams (1000-to 3000 milligrams) of fish oil daily for health, mood, or cognitive improvement.

Bipolar Disorder A Yeast Called Candida And Hidden Food Allergies

Bipolar Disorder A Yeast Called Candida And Hidden Food Allergies (10/15/2011)

Dear Friends:
I cannot imagine a case of bipolar disorder in which a gastrointestinal tract yeast called candida is not either a MAJOR or PRIMARY causative factor.
I cannot imagine a case of bipolar disorder in which multiple hidden food allergies is not either a MAJOR or PRIMARY causative factor as well.
My mother had bipolar disorder from age 37 onward. She had yeast and fungal issues for as long as I can remember. She had recurrent vaginal yeast infections, and she had fungal toenails for decades before her death in 2005. Her GI tract had to be loaded with yeast.
My mother also had multiple hidden food allergies as well. Her sister nearly died from an allergy to cow’s milk as a baby. (Goat’s milk saved the day.) My mother showed strong signs of being allergic to the gluten grains of wheat, oats, barley, and rye. She was most probably allergic to eggs as well. None of these food allergies was ever addressed in her life. By the time it became known that hidden food allergies cause manic depression, my mother would say “It’s hard to teach an old dog new tricks”. (She was unwilling to relinquish her favorite foods; foods which were crippling her.)
I had bipolar disorder from age 11 until I began to get better at age 45. I had severe yeast issues as a young child that showed up as severe constipation and hard stools. I also had athlete’s foot for over a decade on an almost constant basis. (When one takes a shower, candida and other yeast/fungal issues get washed from one’s anus, and often “set up shop” in one’s feet and one’s toes.)
I quite literally passed out from a meal of powdered eggs and chocolate milk as a child. Despite this, the issue of food allergy in me was missed by my doctor(s). At about age sixteen, I self-discovered a mood problem the next day when I ate potatoes. As a result of first going on an elimination diet in 1999 at the age of 46 years old, I now know that the gluten grains, dairy, eggs, chicken, corn, peanuts, citrus foods, strawberries, and the nightshade family (potatoes, tomatoes, bell peppers, and eggplant) are all problematic for me.
My son Willy had bipolar disorder, although he was never diagnosed with such (he was only diagnosed with ADHD). Willy regularly had candida overgrowth as a baby that showed up as reddened rash all over his legs and anal area. Wily also had severe constipation and very hard stools in his childhood years. Both are indicative of candida overgrowth.
Willy also has food allergies. He knows that he is allergic to eggs, and that pizza and ice cream cause him mood problems the next day, if he eats too much of them. Willy tested allergic to wheat in 1997 (Metametrix). It continues to amaze me how impartially Willy avoids what I consider “his allergic foods”, and yet generated the amazing ADHD/bipolar recovery story that he did. (Willy’s Baggies seem to have mitigated the food allergy issue in him a great deal.)
Every single bipolar person that I have known closely in my life shows strong signs of having candida overgrowth.
Every single bipolar person that I have known closely in my life shows strong signs of having multiple hidden food allergens.
Over the course of a decade I intentionally got well, and then intentionally got sick again, numerous times in order to learn what I could about manic depression such that I could better teach the world. IN EVERY SINGLE CASE OF MY BECOMING OPTIMALLY WELL, I HAD TO AVOID MULTIPLE HIDDEN FOOD ALLERGENS ***AND*** CORRECT THE BIOLOGY IN MY GUT (to include resolving candida overgrowth).
I have been certain since 1999 that every person with a bipolar diagnosis should learn about a yeast called candida, and how to correct for such in his or her self. (The Internet currently has a great deal of information in this regard.)
I have been certain since 1999 that every person with a bipolar diagnosis should learn about hidden food allergies, food sensitivities, and food intolerances, to include how to identify and avoid problematic foods. (The latter is done via an elimination diet, the gold standard for determining such. No food allergy test today is accurate enough to do this, despite the fact that many such tests are currently offered and available in the alternative medical arena.)
[When I did either a simple linking search using the words “bipolar candida yeast” or “bipolar food allergy” in the fall of 1999, I got zero hits. Contrast this with today. (It is a whole different story today. I was an early catalyst for change in this regard.) Now that the Truth is out on the Internet in regard to these topics, it is going to be hard for Big Pharma to put “the genie back in the bottle again”. It is going to be more than hard. It is going to be impossible, for “Seeds of Truth inevitably grow”.]
A doctor named Orion Truss first brought the issue of yeast (candida) to light in America with his book “The Missing Diagnosis” published in 1985.
Another doctor named William Crook, M.D. expanded greatly on the written work of Orion Truss and wrote volumes on both yeast and food allergies. Many of his incredibly insightful books can be found on Amazon.com.
Both William Crook, M.D. and Doris Rapp, M.D. believe that hidden food allergies and candida are the two primary causes underlying ADHD. I firmly believe that these same two primary causes underlie bipolar disorder. I also believe that correcting for these two problematic issues is the foundation of correcting not only bipolar disorder, but a myriad of other psychiatric labels as well (to include schizophrenia).
A prolific alternative medical author named Sherry Rogers (M.D.) taught me that correcting the gut is not a one step process. Dr. Rogers postulated an 8R program of gut correction in some of her books. This eight step program is far more conceptually correct than doing only one or two things in which to correct the gut. Sherry Rogers also introduced me to the more inclusive term “intestinal dysbiosis”, which means “disordered biology” in the GI tract. (Intestinal dysbiosis includes candida, other yeasts, molds, and fungi, parasites, and “bad bacteria” as well. In essence, intestinal dysbiosis means flawed gut biology of any sort.)
Over the past decade, the Internet has become a huge resource in regard to learning about and correcting candida (candidiasis) and intestinal dysbiosis. Thank God for the Power of the Internet. It did what conventional medicine neglected to do, which was to educate the general public about candida and intestinal dysbiosis issues and their resolution (despite the fact that modern medicine wished to keep the public ignorant of such things).
Over the past decade, the Internet has become a huge resource in regard to learning about and correcting for food allergy, food sensitivity, and food intolerance. Thank God for the Power of the Internet. It did what conventional medicine neglected to do, which was to educate the general public about food allergy related issues and their resolution (despite the fact that modern medicine wished to keep the public ignorant of such things).
What the above means is that for persons to cure themselves of bipolar disorder, they would be wise to become familiar with some good candida and food allergy books and websites, and then successfully apply to themselves what they have learned.
Incidentally, the biggest suspect in regard to causing candida overgrowth is the use of antibiotics. Yes, candida overgrowth is iatrogenic. (In simple terms, iatrogenic means “caused by a doctor”.) Another suspect that causes candida overgrowth is drinking chlorinated water. In today’s world of toxic sweeteners foisted on an unaware public, another suspect is Splenda, which contains a chlorinated molecule in it.
It may be worthy to note that every single major pharmaceutical company in the world knows the essence of above, and has known the essence of the above for over a decade (as a result of monitoring the Internet and reading books). These people just don’t care. They would rather continue to make hundreds of millions of persons sick in a sneaky manner by promoting widespread antibiotics use, and ignoring the common problematic issue of food allergy. This makes them rich from maltreating (with toxic and expensive drugs) a wide range of psychiatric and degenerative illnesses; illnesses that are partly caused by antibiotics use by the patient years earlier.
Our own Federal Government is a partner to this crime against humanity, via its mandate that “only a pharmaceutical drug” can prevent, diagnose, treat, or cure all disease.
Sadly, the U.S. Government is an even closer partner to Big Pharma and conventional medicine than their mandate of “only a drug can cure”.
Now that it is known that nutritional supplements and dietary changes can cure mental illness, the FDA is currently proposing to over-regulate all nutritional and natural supplements that have come on the free market since October 15, 1994. (This over-regulation spells doom for many powerfully therapeutic supplements.)
Conclusion
I often speak of Willy’s Baggies in my Nutrientscure WordPress blogs. This broad based nutrient formula has helped my son, me, and some other persons a great deal.
The use of Willy’s Baggies can be an “incredibly effective shortcut” to correct depressive, ADHD, bipolar, or schizophrenic symptoms, even if a person does not correct their diet or their gut biology. (The therapeutic intervention of Willy’s Baggies is so effective in regard to depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, wound healing, and anti-aging that it threatens the collapse of drug oriented medicine. I am very lucky to still be alive.)
However, the use of Willy’s Baggies is not the entire answer to wellness. (This should be patently obvious.)
NEVER should the problematic issues of multiple hidden food allergies and flawed gut biology be ignored when dealing with ANY mental illness, especially those that I am most familiar with (depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia).

Zembrin, Plant based anti-depressant

. Calming and Cognitive effects of Zembrin. I have reports from users of a brand new herbal compound named Zembrin that shows almost instant positive ...results on stress, mood, coping and quality of sleep. Zembrin is a herb called Sceletium tortuosum and has 300 years of indigenous use and safety. Many times nutrition works so slowly that some users give up on a product before it has had time to show effects but in regard to Zembrin, this is definitely not the case. Studies done using double blind placebo controlled on 16 healthy participants using MRI showed the amygdala of the brain responded very favorable to one dose of Zembrin within 2 hours. I have received extremely positive feedback from the initial users of Zembrin and look forward to it being a very usable herb for those of us who need help in the area of stress management.
For scientific information on the studies on Zembrin, log onto: http://www.nature.com/…/journal/vaop/…/full/npp2013183a.html

Dr. Butts comment:  I have seen severe depression reverse in a couple of days when patient took four capsules a day for several days.  However, I would start with one or two. I think this is so much better than an SSRI without the side effects.

All Mental Health Begins in the Gut

The bacteria, fungi, viruses and other microorganisms that comprise your body's microflora actually outnumber your body's cells 10 to 1, and it's now becoming increasingly clear that these tiny organisms play a MAJOR role in your health—both physical and mental.
The impact of your microflora on your brain function has again been confirmed by UCLA researchers who, in a proof-of-concept study, found that probiotics (beneficial bacteria) indeed altered the brain function in the participants

The secret to improving your mood and brain health is in your gut, as unhealthy gut flora can impact your mental health, potentially leading to issues like anxiety, depression, autism and more
  • A recent proof-of-concept study found that women who regularly ate yogurt containing beneficial bacteria had altered brain function compared to those who did not consume probiotics
  • Just as you have neurons in your brain, you also have neurons in your gut -- including neurons that produce neurotransmitters like serotonin, which is also found in your brain and is linked to mood
  • Limiting sugar, eating traditionally fermented foods, and taking a probiotic supplement are among the best ways to optimize your gut flora and subsequently support your brain health and normalize your mood

    We are powerful beyond measure.

Nelson Mandella was quoting Williams in his second inaugural address.
"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are more powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous. Actually who are you not to be? You are a Child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We were born to manifest the Glory of God that is within us. It is not just in some of us, it's in everyone. As we let our light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."

    Vitamin D 3 and Schizophrenia

Vitamin D research: : "Low vitamin D status is linked to a number of different conditions," said James C. Fleet, Ph.D. professor in the department of foods and nutrition at Purdue University. "These include certain cancers, muscle weakness and types I and II diabetes--possibly even schizophrenia and multiple sclerosis."
What most interested me was the mention of schizophrenia. In my studies, there is some indication that bipolar disorder and some schizophrenia's have responded well to fish oil (The Omega 3 Connection by Dr. Andrew Stoll). Also, there is some research indicating that candida can contribute to both bipolar disorder and schizophrenia.
Dr. Carl C. Pfieffer, a psychiatrist in the field of nutritional research, and author of the book,"Nutrition and Mental Illness," treated more than 25,000 mentally ill patients successfully with nutrition. Blood tests were taken to determine deficiencies in the patient.

    Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and Hypoglycemia

Obsessive compulsive Disorder (OCD) can be treated without drugs. In an article by Juririan Plesman, who describes the cause of OCD by excess secretion of adrenaline, the fight/flight hormone. Adrenaline is also the hormone that in case of danger you cannot take your eyes away from the enemy (tiger). Thus it forces you to focus on things. Hence excess adrenaline production can result in obsessive thoughts and compulsive behaviors of the kind of "making sure behavior",like making sure the door is closed, making sure that you stay away from germs, washing your hands over and over again, obsession with cleanliness, or symptoms of perfectionism.

OCD can be described as a cluster of symptoms that compels a person to act or think in repetitive ways. The person may be afflicted with compulsive thoughts or possessed with fear of contamination. Others are compelled to make sure that water taps have been properly closed or things are in their correct place.
Being suddenly bombarded with stress hormones - such as cortisol and adrenaline - the mind appears to create images and ideas that fit the strange inner experience of panic and fear. The activation of the Sympathetic Nervous System (SNS) by adrenaline prepares your body for strenuous action in face of danger in the environment. But if the SNS is activated by an internal biological mechanism due to a biological disorder, there is no external enemy or stimulus. So you have to make one up to give you some sort of rational explanation of why you feel the way you do.
OCD is a sub-class of anxiety attacks. Both OCD and anxiety attacks are marked by excess adrenaline production.
This can also be tested with a paper-and-pencil test such as The Nutrition-Behavior Inventory questionnaire
(NBI) or the The Hypo Quizz.
The real question is why is the body overproducing adrenaline and at the wrong time and circumstances?
The answer lies in the function of adrenaline. Adrenaline apart from being a fight/flight hormone is also a hormone that converts sugar stores in the body (glycogen) into glucose. Glucose is the brain's major source of energy. It requires about 70% of glucose to fuel the biochemical machinery of brain cells. Without that energy brain cells will soon die. Thus whenever the brain senses energy starvation it will trigger the release of adrenaline so as to feed the brain again with energy.
The next question is: why is the brain starved of energy with all that sugar being consumed in our society? The reason is that a person may have a physical disorder that prevents the conversion of sugar sources in food (carbohydrates) into biological energy called ATP. That energy is essential in the production of feel good (relaxing) neuro-chemicals, such as serotonin. Without it we will feel anxious, insecure, in danger
    and panicky without knowing why.
This is usually the case when a person suffers from Insulin Resistance. Insulin Resistance is usually associated with the development of Diabetes Type II. Most doctors can test this, but they appear to have problems testing for pre-diabetic insulin resistance, because they have not been trained for this. We have a test for hypoglycemia at our web site. The Hypo Quizz.
This condition is called "The Hypoglycemic Syndrome" which is characterized by unstable blood sugar levels, going up and down. Unstable blood sugar levels, due to insulin resistance, cause the body to release stress hormones, such as adrenaline and cortisol. Whenever there is a sudden drop in brain sugar levels, adrenaline kicks in to attempt the redress the imbalance.
We have an explanation how excess adrenaline can cause OCD. The solution is to go on a hypoglycemic diet, which is similar to a diabetic diet. It normalizes blood sugar levels, and stops the brain from producing stress hormones.
According to Dr. Carl Pfieffer, M.D. and research Psychiatrist who reversed mental illness by using nutrition, many vitamins and minerals are involved in glucose metabolism. Namely, Vitamin C, B complex vitamins, calcium, magnesium, zinc. Chromium, manganese, potassium and phosphorous.
Dr Pfieffer, also states that adrenaline and glucocortoid hormones trigger the pancreas to secrete glucagons, which, in turn, promotes the conversion of glycogen to glucose in the liver. The liberated glucose is then released from the liver into the bloodstream and this contributes to hypoglycemia. It can be a vicious circle.
An alkaline diet can help prevent hypoglycemia.
Fish oil can also help OCD.

Near infra-red (670 nm) is thought to be absorbed by cytochrome c oxidase (COX), a key element in mitochondrial respiration and it has been demonstrated that it improves mitochondrial membrane potentials in aged eyes. It also significantly reduces the impact of experimental pathology and ameliorates age related retinal inflammation. We show ATP decline with ageing in mouse retina and brain. Also, in these tissues that ATP is significantly increased by 670 nm exposure in old mice. In the retina this was associated with increased COX and reduced acrolein expression. Acrolein, being a free radical marker of retinal oxidative stress, is up regulated in Alzheimer's and retinal degeneration. This is the first demonstration of ATP manipulation in vivo and may provide a simple non-invasive route to combating age related tissue decline.

    On the Border of Mexico

My daughter-in-law posted this on August 23,2016
My husband is doing a special mission for a few  agencies near the border today. I came down and got quite an education last night about our Open Border policy. They are building schools faster here than anywhere in the country. No one really knows the actual population of these border cities. Anyone caught is basically "welcomed in" issued a ticket to return 60 days later in court, plenty of services available until court date ...which 90% NEVER show for. McAllen is dangerous to drive in with 1,000's of unlicensed drivers who don't/ can't read the street signs or understand our laws. One of the US Government Border Patrol workers became very ill and went into the ER with health insurance and the hospital staff said we are so full with non citizens we are not going to be able to help you for a few days, we have no beds available. The "coyotes" are paid to transport illegals through the border. They screen out the young beautiful girls (as young as 13/14) and they are sold into escort service rings throughout the country. Others less beautiful are sold as work slaves. We live in a great country, but there MUST be a better way to get a handle on this. Screen & kick out the criminals, coyotes, drug dealers, and allow only the honest people looking for a better life an opportunity to earn citizenship through legal work service programs. Teach them our country's history and culture and work ethics, gain self respect, and be a contributor to society. Every one of my Hispanic friends are the most hard working, honest, family oriented people I know. (It's those bad apples running the show with criminal activities that need to be swiftly addressed.)

    I Recovered from Arthritis

    Arthritis,
I overcame Arthritis over 30 years ago.
It was simple. I gave up sugar. I was in so much pain, I saw a I chiropractor once or twice a week. I could hardly walk, Every muscle and bone in my body ached. I couldn't exercise, walk up stairs, I couldn't sleep well because it hurt to move, my neck and shoulders always ached. I was miserable.
I remember him saying to me, "You need to give up sugar." At the time I thought, "Do you know who you are talking to?"
I was a... sugar addict. I loved brownies and candy bars. I didn't know what it meant to eat healthy. But....I did it and reversed my arthritis.
One tablespoon of sugar causes five hours of inflamation.
Today I have a Ph.D in Holistic Nutrition, I am over 80, jump on the trampoline every day and exercise and I don't have arthritis.
There are other things I would recommend if you have arthritis.
Take fish oil....3000 mg a day and I like Barlean's lemon swirl....it tastes like lemon pie.
I would take MSM which is a natural substance in your body, 1000 mg up to 4 times a day.
    Magnesium (I like citrate) 3 400 mg a day.
    Bromelain 2 or 3 a day.
I like T-relief for pain...a homepathic remedy and not hard on your kidneys or liver.
White willow is also good for pain. Tumeric has anti-inflamatory properites.
Change your diet. The more alkaline you eat, the less pain you will have and the healthier you will be.
Eat lost of green vegetables, broccoli, sprouts, sunflower sprouts, ,cucumber, brussel sprouts, cabbage, romaine lettuce, cauliflower,
Spinach,Squash,Tomato, Zucchini, bell peppers, jicama, lemons, limes, Avocado, Beets, nuts (soaked almonds), Hummus,Kamut
Millet, Olive oil, Quinoa. Allkinds of herbs.
Sprouted breads...avoid white lfour. Eat fish or turkey.Limit red meat
Beans, soba noodles. I use lemon juice an clod pressed olive oil on salads.
I like juicing or putting in a Vita Mixer, 4 or 5 stalks celery, 4 cups spinach and a cucumber (use a little water if using a mixer) and drinking this daily.
In addition, Epsom salts baths are helpful.
Exercising and movement are essential to break up lactic acid that causes pain...I have a vibration machine, but some gymns or health food stores have them too that you can use. Herbs for Health in West Jordan...they also sell alkaline water.
Elan light therapy is very helpful for pain, arthritis, and even depression. Omnipreseence has this light therapy in Salt Lake.
Use pressure points around your pain area to help releive pain. First use your finger to put pressure on points, then massage with your hands, then pat with your hands the points that are causing pain.
Deepr breatihing can help releave pain.
    Look into ozone therapy....

The Benefits of Wearing Blue Light-Blocking Glasses for Bipolar Disorder and other issues.

    .
The benefits of blue-blocking glasses are immense and varied. In my view the primary benefit is to prevent damage to the DHA essential fat in your retinal pigmented epithelium which is responsible for converting sunlight into vital DC electric current your body needs.
Additionally blue light will increase the distance of the proteins in the respiratory electron transport chain in your mitochondria making them far less efficient in producing mitochondria.
Additionally, in one recent study published in Bipolar Disorders, for instance, use of such glasses for one week led to "knock-your-socks-off results" among people with bipolar disorder.2,3
Those who wore blue-blocking orange-tinted glasses from 6 p.m. to 8 a.m. for seven days had significant improvements in symptoms of mania compared to those who wore clear glasses. What's more, the improvements began after just three nights of use.
The dramatic results make sense in light of the relatively recent discovery of intrinsically photo-responsive retinal ganglion cells, which are receptors in your eyes that detect only blue light.
These receptors communicate with areas of your brain linked to control of your biological clock (hypothalamus) as well as mood and emotions (the limbic system).4
In 2009, research published in Chronobiology International similarly found dramatic improvements in insomnia and mood in about half of bipolar patients who wore blue-blocking glasses.

Fish Oil Essential to Combat Depression

Fish Oil Essential for Depression and Mental Health

    Patty Butts, Ph.D, LPC

Sixty-eight percent of people die from three degenerative diseases that involve fatty degeneration. They include cardiovascular disease, cancer and diabetes.

As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I have seen amazing positive results with depressed persons who are taking fish oil supplements.

Dr. Stoll recommends 1 to 2 grams (1000-to 2000 milligrams) of fish oil daily for health, mood, or cognitive improvement.

Seven Steps to Eliminate Pain and Stress

Seven Steps to Eliminate Pain and Stress

    By Dr. Patty Butts

While attending a convention of workshop presentations for therapists, psychologists, and marriage counselors, I watched in amazement as about 75 professionals learned the following technique.

Some displayed symptoms of being stressed, anxious, overwhelmed, or other negative emotions or feelings. All lowered their stress level tremendously by doing this. Some overcame anxiety. Repeating this exercise over and over as needed, changes the negative neural patterns in the brain. It leads to more effective communication, lowers blood pressure, improves decision making, helps students do improve in school and develops better problem solving skills, helps panic and obsessive compulsive tendencies, and helps in solving problems. It helps get rid of negative thought patterns and replaces them with positive feelings.

Take a short emotional vacation by using the Freeze Frame Technique explained  below. Positive emotions can help you replace negative, stressful thought patterns and feelings with more positive perceptions and emotions in the moment you need them most. It is so easy to do.

    Steps:

    1. When you are feeling stressed, have anxiety or panic, or are facing a problem, describe your feeling in one word. Examples could be anxious, fearful, afraid,

confused, angry, frustrated, sad, disgusted, enraged, overwhelmed, lonely, victimized or depressed.

    2. Now, shift your attention to the area around your heart. Imagine yourself   breathing in through your heart—breathe in to the count of five, breathe out to the count of five. Continue doing this for several minutes.

    3. Think of a positive feeling—the love you have for a child or grandchild. Try to

experience that positive feeling and send that positive feeling or love out to

someone else. You may want to think of a positive experience or place where

you have felt serenity, peace or laughter. Work on recapturing that

              feeling right now.

            4. Go back to step number two and again breathe in through your heart to the count

of five and then breathe out to the count of five through your solar plexus while

                 still experiencing the positive feelings.

             5. Ask yourself what would be good answer to your problem or a helpful attitude to

balance and de-stress your mind and body.  If possible, write it down. Heart                       perceptions and intuitions are often subtle. They gently suggest effective
solutions for you and all concerned with the problem.

              6. Sense any change to your original stress as noted in step number one. Write it

down and sustain the positive feeling as long as you can.

              7. Repeat these steps as often as needed.
